Mecham's farm. The first ranch you come to at the start of the valley, and always one of my favorite
spots.
The Bella Coola River. What a gorgeous color it is! Glacier fed and cold as hell, it meanders its
way through the whole valley.
The Bailey Bridge.Nothing has changed here. It still is only wide enough for one car at a time. Here's
the spot where Gordon's younger brother got in a little tussle with some tourists and the law. These boys can always find
trouble!! It's now a family legend.

The inlet. Where smokey green glacier water meets the ocean, fishing boats bob in the sunlight
and toss wildly in the storms.
Gordon and his river. He has quite a history with it, whether its fishing for
salmon (how successfully?) or floating down on a deflating dingy and almost drowning my brother during the highest
flooding. He also gave his new dirt bike a bath in the middle of the river, whether it needed it or not.

What a view for Mecham's cows!!! The view across the road from the farm.
It was salmon spawning time while we were there. I can't believe we could forget that stench!

The Co-op. The only store in Bella Coola, fresh fruit and veggies came in every Thursday. There
was a mad rush to get the good stuff before it was gone. Hey, we had to find excitement somewhere!
Just one more of the quaint picturesque scenes in the valley.
Always one of my favorite places in the valley. Regally standing here for generations, it was
tops on my list of photo-ops.
